The Leisure Seeker movie review

Movie Title: The Leisure Seeker
Grade:   B
Rating: R, 112 minutes
In a Nutshell:  Academy Award winner Helen Mirren and Golden Globe winner (twice!) Donald Sutherland carry the film and make for a powerful couple dramedy.
Tips for parents:
* Young children will probably be bored and think this is just an “old people” movie.  It is.
* Some profanity.
* Talk of an affair and sex.
Uplifting theme:
  •  Life is to be cherished.
  • Family
  • The compromises of marriage
Things I liked:
  •  It portrays a very realistic and sobering issue that Baby Boomers are facing as their parents age.  If you are older than 70, then you’re the one facing these issues and will be able to relate to the comedy and the serious decisions the couple has to make.
Things I didn’t like:
    • While the journey was entertaining, the ending was predictable.
  •  It’s a bit of a downer.  If you want to feel depressed, watch this movie.
