IN A NUTSHELL:

“Once upon a time, there was a before and an after.” Such begins the apocalyptic story about how a virus destroys the world we now know. Following the death of their parents, an overly protective aunt raises her two young nieces in a remote cabin as a deadly pandemic rages on around them.

The film was written and directed by Alec Tibaldi.

THINGS I LIKED:

I’ve always liked Ashley Judd. More than her good acting talent, people have been speculating about why her face is so puffy in this movie. The buzz has been about a potentially botched facial surgery; however, Ashley said that it’s due to the medication she’s on for a serious sinus infection and something to do with her leg. She posted on Twitter that she’s on steroids and explained that they’re “dramatic.” Admittedly, her “new” face is extremely distracting.
The two young starlets do a great job: Sarah Pidgeon and Katie Douglas. Asher Angel also does a good job as a wounded loner whom they find and threatens their safety.
The Covid pandemic certainly taught all of us that the world can get crazy in an extremely short amount of time and that we are not always in control. Being prepared for emergencies is just smart. How well prepared are you? Do you think there will be another pandemic that some experts fear is right around the corner?
I like how you accept what you see in the beginning of the movie and then slowly begin to wonder what’s really going on.

THINGS I DIDN’T LIKE:

Many viewers have complained that “nothing really happens.”
It’s very slow moving.

Kids will be bored.
Profanity, including F-bombs
A woman kills some people.
Gun violence
A girl slaps another girl and then they get into a fist fight
We see two teens in bed together after they’ve had a “tumble”.
We see teens covered in tattoos.
