IN A NUTSHELL:

Author, speaker, and filmmaker Sarah Hinze compiled dozens of uplifting and remarkable accounts of parents and families who have had the opportunity to meet the souls of their sons and daughters before they were born. These souls share that we are all eternal spirits who lived in a realm of light and beauty before coming to earth.

Before I go on, I have to explain that Sarah and I have been friends for many years and that I’m absolutely thrilled for her success with this film.  Many years ago, I lost a baby.  I searched for books and found one written by Sarah Hinze that truly healed my aching heart.  When social media was invented, I reached out to her to thank her for her comforting words and we’ve been friends ever since.

When she started talking about turning her books into a film, I invited her to the LDSPMA conference, a fantastic conference for writers, filmmakers, songwriters, publishers, YouTubers, podcasters, and other creatives.  It’s at that conference where she met her director, Tom Laughlin.

Of course, I’m biased, but this film is truly special.  It features true stories about our pre-mortal experience.  You have probably never seen anything like this before.  Sarah has researched the topic of mothers who have had seen or heard voices from their children before they were born.  If that sounds unbelievable to you, I assure you it’s true because I had such an experience with one of my own children.  That’s what led me to Sarah’s book collection.  It was fascinating and reassuring to know that I wasn’t alone.  In fact, MANY mothers around the world have had these experiences.  That’s what this amazing film is about.

THINGS I LIKED:

  • The idea of pre-mortality is not new.  Sarah interviews experts in history, science, and religion who talk about the eternal principle.  This idea is a game-changer for many people.  Sarah and I are both members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which is a religion that completely embraces and teaches this truth.
  • You’ll see that there are no coincidences in life.
  • The film moves gracefully from interviews with experts to true stories about parents and their unborn children.
  • By the way, this film has won multiple awards at quite a few film festivals!
  • The timing of this release is perfect.  The world has become increasingly cynical and unbelieving.  This film will touch your heart, soul, and mind.
  • I love the title because the human souls instinctively yearns to return home.

THINGS I DIDN’T LIKE:

  • I would love to have heard even more stories!

TIPS FOR PARENTS:

  • This is a must-watch for parents to understand the eternal nature of their children and themselves.
  • No profanity or anything objectionable.  This is definitely safe for family-friendly viewing.
