It’s all so beautiful to look at. The visual effects are incredibly amazing. It’s phenomenal how expressive the ape’s faces are. The motion capture work is extremely impressive.

Some of the gags fly by really fast, such as when we see Garfield watching “Catflix” on TV.
The title is intriguing and haunting.

Although the movie is a low-budget indie flick, there is still a lot of good to be found here.
