THINGS I LIKED:
- Jonathan Rhys-Meyers does a great job and really takes a beating in this movie.
- The rest of the cast includes Lochlyn Munro, Elyse Levesque, and Bradley Stryker, among others.
- The beginning kind of reminded me of the first few scenes in Season 1 of “The Walking Dead” when a man wakes up in the abandoned hospital.
- The scene where a patient was asked to count down from 10 made me laugh because once when I was in surgery, I was asked to do the same thing and only remember saying 9.
- There are plenty of jumps and scares and creepy moments.
- The title is intriguing.
THINGS I DIDN’T LIKE:
- We don’t get to learn much about the male protagonist to truly root for him, especially when he says he’s a selfish man who has made a lot of mistakes in the past.
- A lot of the dialogue is cliched and lame.
- It’s always helpful and convenient when monsters move very slowly… ha ha
- There are attempts to explain what’s going on but they don’t actually answer all of the questions that are raised.
- Some of the acting is pretty bad.
- Lots of fake blood.
FUNNY LINES:
” It’s the zombie apocalypse, isn’t it?” – Monica (Elyse Levesque)
“You shouldn’t be here. Arrr!” – bad guy
INTERESTING LINES:
“Life is all about choices. We choose who we want to be. We choose how we spend our time and we choose what is important to us.” – Sam (Jonathan Rhys-Meyers)
“I’m selfish.” – Sam (Jonathan Rhys-Meyers) “You don’t have to be.” – Sarah (Anita Brown)
“You don’t give up. There’s always a way out.” – Sam (Jonathan Rhys-Meyers)
