IN A NUTSHELL:

Dr. Jeffrey Long, Dr. Michael Sabom, and author John Burke have spent decades researching and interviewing patients who have lived through near-death experiences. Angel Studios recently hosted a live stream to give hope.

The film was written and directed by Stephen Gray, with co-directing help by Chris Radtke.

THINGS I LIKED:

I’ve always been fascinated by near-death experiences that show glimpses of heaven and hell on the “other side of the veil.” I’ve read many books and never tire of hearing people’s experiences. I believe them and have faith that we WILL continue to live after we leave this mortal life. I think it’s important to always have an open mind.

A lot of experts are consulted after various people share their near-death experiences. What’s fascinating is that the experts weren’t religious before they were introduced to people who had these experiences. Most of them were scientists, doctors, or academics. Now they’re believers.
Angel Studios is getting great at creating a huge grassroots excitement for their films. Just like they did with the movie Sound of Freedom, they sold tickets online before the theatrical release, offering the option to “pay it forward” so another person could get a free ticket. Sweet!
If you’re open to evidence, you’ll be convinced that the spiritual realm DOES exist after you watch this film.
It’s fascinating to hear the people try to describe heaven in earthly words. They all shared frustration in not being able to properly explain how amazing it was but they all emphasized the tremendous feeling of love and acceptance they felt.

The common thread through all of the stories is that there IS life after this mortality and that God is real. The filmmakers have explained that their goal for this movie is to give hope to the world and that a better understanding of death will give our lives more purpose.
At the end of the movie, we see these words on the screen: “Your life is precious and meaningful. If you or a loved one is in danger of suicide, please call 988.”
The song at the end of the movie is called “More Hope Than Ever”, performed by Justin Jesso and Fernando Garibay. Another lovely song was “In Heaven” performed by Chris Quilala.

THINGS I DIDN’T LIKE:

The stories bounce around from person to person, only telling bits of their story at a time. It might have been nice to hear their full story before moving on to another person. I get it though. It’s a way to tell the various stages of everyone’s movies in an organized thread. It’s kind of the popular method of filming documentaries these days.
