Best TV Streaming Services review

posted in: News | 0

It’s award season for all things movie related and, personally, I can’t wait to see who “the Oscar goes to” in only a couple of weeks!

One thing we’re seeing at these celebrity-filled awards ceremonies nowadays that is very different from only a few years ago is the entrance of award-winning movies produced by streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Studio.  For example, the movies  THE IRISHMAN  and MARRIAGE STORY have already won an impressive number of awards at the Golden Globes and the Critics Choice Awards this year alone.  My jaw dropped to the floor during that one scene in MARRIAGE STORY where Adam Driver has a meltdown.  He was AMAZING and definitely deserves his Oscar nomination.  I’m such a fan!

I cut the cord from cable and satellite service about 10 years ago, converting exclusively to what was available on Roku.  Later, I added Netflix, and saw my total entertainment package cost drop from $108/month with Dish Network to only $8.  As much as I love Netflix, their price increased and now I pay $15.99/month.  Still, that’s a drop in the bucket compared to what I used to pay!  Later, I added became an Amazon Prime member.  There is no shortage of good entertainment at my house!

I found an EXCELLENT article that compares all of the TV streaming services available nowadays that I wanted to tell you about in case you’re considering cutting the cord too.  It’s a super helpful guide to help you take a closer look at alternatives to cable television and satellite systems.

The case study includes tips for parents and sports fans, a close look at features and weaknesses, quality, price, navigation, geographical limitations, and even the scoop on movie rentals on the various platforms.  It includes a review of Netflix, fuboTV, Philo, Hulu, Sling, Tubi, Amazon Prime, Vudu, YouTube TV, PlayStation Vue, and AT&T TV Now.  Seriously, it’s the most comprehensive guide I’ve ever seen of all of these TV streaming services.  The best part is that now I don’t feel compelled to spend hours doing all of that research for you, because they’ve already done it!  When I say “they”, I mean the Consumers Advocate organization.

So, if you want to know the “good, the bad, and the ugly” about all of your choices, check it out.  I don’t mean for this post to sound like a commercial.  I’m just super impressed with all of the work that went into putting their guide together so that the rest of us could spend our time doing what we REALLY want to do:

watch movies!

By the way, if all of that Oscar buzz about THE IRISHMAN has gotten you curious, check out my movie review on YouTube below.
