IN A NUTSHELL:

The movie is about Mason, who attempts his biggest bank heist with his brother, but things go horribly wrong.  Tension rises as Mason has to negotiate with his ex-lover, who happens to be the lead negotiator.

The film was directed by Ives.  Writing credits go to Dipo Oseni and Doug Richardson.

THINGS I LIKED:

  • The movie poster definitely sells the film simply due to John Travolta’s star presence.
  • The other leads in the cast are Kristin Davis, Lukas Haas, Natali Yura, Quavo, and Noel Guliemi.
  • I wonder how much Grant Cardone paid to be in this movie and be able to say he was in a John Travolta movie.  He’s a successful real estate investor, Equity Fund manager, and American businessman with a huge ego and bank account.
  • People who love cars will get excited to see an insanely expensive car collection at the beginning of the movie.
  • The producers thought this movie would be such a huge hit that they have already green-lit a sequel.  Is that something you want to see?
  • I love twists in movies.
  • I liked the soundtrack a lot.

THINGS I DIDN’T LIKE:

  • Some would say that the title describes exactly what John Travolta did in this movie: cash out.  It’s an easy paycheck.  It always makes me sad when true movie stars make these low-budget B movies that go straight to streaming like Morgan Freeman, Mel Gibson, Bruce Willis, Nicolas Cage, and John Travolta.
  • I hate shaky cam.
  • Sadly, there wasn’t any chemistry between Travolta and Davis.
  • A lot of the uninspired dialogue sounds like it was written by AI.
  • It’s kind of frustrating to watch this incompetent crew botch several crimes because they didn’t take the time to fully research the situation before going in.  Lame.
  • I was surprised that there were some bad acting moments.

TIPS FOR PARENTS:

  • Profanity, including F-bombs
  • Crimes are shown

THEMES:

  • Crime
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Teamwork
  • Trust
  • Relationships
  • Greed

FUNNY LINES:

  • “Last two rent-a-cops!” –  Anton  (Quavo)

INTERESTING LINES:

  • “You’re smarter than me.  You’ll think of something.” – Mason Goddard  (John Travolta)
